I’m Camila, a 360° freelance Art Director & Senior Illustrator with 9+ years of experience creating designs that are both fun and meaningful. I believe great design should not only look good but also make a difference.
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
I started my career by spending five years collaborating with a graphic design studio, working with inspiring startups committed to social, environmental, and economic causes. Many of them believed in responsible, locally made production. Alongside these values, female empowerment has always been central to my vision, whether through collaborating with women led companies or shaping brands that uplift and empower women.
During these years, I explored a wide range of disciplines, from branding and packaging to photo shoots, illustration, textile design, digital design, as well as the more institutional and highly constrained side of graphic design, across industries such as fashion, food, and cosmetics etc.
Like any good designer, I adapt to each brand’s world, from the most creative and expressive to the most corporate and structured, working on everything from pattern creation to commercial presentation templates.
Curious by nature, I gradually expanded my horizons and began collaborating with larger groups and international brands. One of these experiences led me to work with The New York Times on several projects as an AD EMEA, including the award-winning podcast This Is Not A Beauty Podcast.
Over the years, I also partnered closely with Prisma Media, helping them design and implement a design system that significantly improved efficiency, saved time, and reduced costs, while continuing to collaborate with creative agencies.
I genuinely enjoy working as part of a team, collaborating closely with sales teams, strategists, and copywriters, as well as leading and guiding designers, photographers, illustrators, and other creative talents to bring ideas to life.
Alongside this, I became a Canva Creator, joining a selected group of French designers creating templates and graphic assets for the French market. I also developed my own Canva training program, which I deliver to companies looking to strengthen their internal communication and design autonomy.
Today, my curiosity continues to grow. I am increasingly drawn to graphic design for cinema, a field that deeply fascinates me and fuels my creative vision.
I believe in exploration, evolution, and meaningful design.
If you’re curious too, let’s discover what we can create together.
